Our Projects
In 2024, the Friends:

01
Continued supporting summer reading for children, teens, and adults helping fund story times, exciting activities, and incentives for reading.
02
Partnered actively in Book in the Bluff, helping fund activities for organizations, high schools, and others to be engaged in reading Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt and a reception at Three Rivers College for our community readers.

03
Support for the Dr. Gus T. Ridgel Branch, which increases geographically the services our Library provides.
04
Helped with funding for the Sensory Garden mural “Familiar Wonders” painted by talented local artist Mattilyn Stacy. This mural, enhances and grows the Sensory Garden, adding to Poplar Bluff’s public art. The mural received television, print, and social media coverage worthy of this project and promoted our community.
